Weirauch Was Nearly Tied In The Polls Before the NRCC Tied Her To Hillary

The effect of association with Hillary is an increasingly scary proposition for Democrats across the country, especially progressive women running in red districts. The Politico reported that Republican polls showed Robin Weirauch actually leading Bob Latta in the conservative Ohio 5th District:
President Bush won 61 percent of the vote in the district in 2004. But a poll conducted for Latta’s campaign last week showed him trailing Weirauch by four points, according to a GOP operative.
Weirauch's lead quickly disappeared after this ad scared them into considering her possible ties to Hillary:

GOP Press Releases Tied Weirauch To Hillary

There is no question that the extremely successful strategy of the Ohio Republican Party in the special election was to tie Weirauch to Hillary. After blowouts like this, look for state GOP parties around the country to bring down Democratic candidates with ads associating them to Hillary. If Hillary is our nominee...many of our candidates will be done upon arrival. The Republican Party press release on Dec. 10:

Weirauch's extreme record on these issues, coupled with $16,000 in campaign cash that she has stashed from Washington's leading liberals and the fact that her candidacy is supported by extreme left-wing activists nationwide - the same groups working to elect Hillary Clinton President - proves that she would be nothing more than a reliable vote for liberal Democrat leadership as they try to enact their out of the mainstream agenda.

Democratic Congressman Says Hillary May Cost Him His Seat

A U.S. Congressman in a close election is already speaking off the record that Hillary may cost him his seat. Its important to realize that while she may be able to garner enough electoral votes (the Ohio GOP is in shambles) to take the White House depending on who the Republican nominee is.

But the effect of Hillary on the ticket will be enough for a record turnout for the Conservative base just itching to vote against her. The AP reports:

The chairman of a Midwest state party called Clinton a nightmare for congressional and state legislative candidates.

A Democratic congressman from the West, locked in a close re-election fight, said Clinton is the Democratic candidate most likely to cost him his seat.

A strategist with close ties to leaders in Congress said Democratic Senate candidates in competitive races would be strongly urged to distance themselves from Clinton.

"The argument with Hillary right now in some of these red states is she's so damn unpopular," said Andy Arnold, chairman of the Greenville, S.C., Democratic Party. "I think Hillary is someone who could drive folks on the other side out to vote who otherwise wouldn't."

"Republicans are upset with their candidates," Arnold added, "but she will make up for that by essentially scaring folks to the polls."

Hillary Is Already Tearing Mary Landrieu's Chances Down

The NRSC is already up with a new TV ad depicting Hillary's gaffes in talking about her flip-flops over drivers licenses for illegal aliens. Morphing her face into Mary Landrieu's appears to be a model Republicans are finding successful in hurting the numbers for Democratic candidates all over the country:

NRCC Effective In Linking Democrats Around The Country To Hillary

The NRCC research is showing that it is not only Democratic congressional candidates in red districts and the south that are hurt by their association with Hillary. Tying Democrats to Hillary is proving to be effective all over the country. Marc Ambinder recently noted that the NRCC is using Hillary's blunder on driver's licenses to bring down other Democrats:

Writes the NRCC in a release:

Rep. Chris Murphy (CT-05) is bobbing and weaving on the issue of providing driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants. When asked about the issue, Murphy’s answer was reminiscent of Hillary Clinton’s vague, yet troubling statement. On an issue as basic as providing legal documentation to individuals here in the country illegally, Murphy refused to take a stand.

Forgit Was Done Upon Arrival With The Help Of Hillary

With help like this from Hillary, its no wonder Forgit got 35 percent of the vote. She could have at least sent him a donation to help alleviate the harm to his campaign.
